Looking Forward

As the minutes tick away, drawing Old Year’s Night to a close, the only thing left to do is to wish everyone a Happy New Year. Hopefully 2009 will improve on the past twelve months for one and all. If things haven’t gone well and you need bucking up, heed these words:

Go confidently in the direction of your dreams! Live the life you've imagined. As you simplify your life, the laws of the universe will be simpler.

-- Henry David Thoreau

Very little is needed to make a happy life.

-- Marcus Aurelius Antoninus

My neighbourghood sounded like it was a war-zone, even more so during daylight, unsurprisingly.

I managed to avoid watching the Christmas Doctor Who this year, so I already feel like I'm ahead in 2009!

Happy new year. Keep up the entertaining/interesting blog.

Thought you might find this interesting - a spoiler-free interview with Ronald D. Moore on the last season of Battlestar Galactica (starting in about 10 days in the US and on a wide selection of torrent-y websites..) and the upcoming prequelly Caprica (which I'm cautiously optimistic about, because I'd really like to see how the Cylons revolted).

Fella, I'll have a peek, but from reading The Watcher, Maureen Ryan's television blog for The Chicago Tribune, I've been following her advice about staying away from anything that might give spoilers for the upcoming final episodes.

I'm afraid I did watch the Christmas episode of you know what, but only when it was repeated on New Year's Day. I suspect I'll be commenting on it in a day or so, after I stop projectile vomiting.
